At BCC, we want to help you make financial giving a meaningful and regular part of your relationship with God. We believe that a Biblical perspective on stewardship is captured in I Chronicles 29:11-12:
"Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all."
This verse clearly tells us that everything we have been given (money, time, possessions, gifts and talents) comes from God. Therefore, our role is to manage what we have been entrusted with according to His desires. We own nothing ourselves and when we realize this we are on the way to truly understanding Godly stewardship.
