Our BCC Values
are the priorities that shape our lives
People will not readily accept a vision for the future until they can appreciate its link to the past. Core values provide that link. Since its founding in 1922, BCC's heritage has been reflected in the values that it has passed from generation to generation.
Bible based ministry
We believe that the Bible is true and that it is the only reliable and inerrant source for spiritual truth. At BCC the Scriptures are central to all we say and do.
Disciple-making
Jesus commissioned His followers to make disciples by teaching them what he had taught them. At BCC, we carry on that priority. Every Sunday and throughout the week, there are exciting opportunities for children, teens, and adults to participate in the study of God's Word.
Global and local missions
Lost people matter to God. They need the opportunity to consider the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. BCC is committed to taking that message to the whole world. We encourage our members to share their faith and to participate in God's global agenda. As a church we support 75 missionaries and are committed to reaching the Wolof people of Senegal.
Nurture and community
God never intended that the walk of faith should be a walk alone. His followers are to walk in authentic community with one another. Though BCC is large and rapidly growing, we are committed to providing personal care through our Small Groups and larger affinity groups.
Meaningful Worship
Worship is what we were created to do. At BCC we affirm the differing worship voices in the body of Christ by providing varying styles and formats for worship. In order to facilitate meaningful worship we strive for excellence in the way we plan and carry out our expressions of worship.
Our BCC Views are the convictions we hold about God and what he has revealed to us.
About the Bible We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. 2 Pet.1:21; 2 Tim. 3:16,17
About the Trinity We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. John 10:30, Matt.28:19
About the Nature of Christ We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of Mary while she was yet a virgin, and is true God and true man. Is.7:14, Matt.1:18-23, Col.2:9
About the Nature of Man We believe that man was created in the image of God, and that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature; and those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in word, thought and deed. Gen.1:27, Rom.5:12, 3:23, 6:23, 1 Cor.15:22
About the Atonement We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. Acts 13:38, Rom. 4:5, 1 Cor.15:3, Gal.2:16
About the Resurrection We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. Luke 24:14, Acts 2:32, Heb.7:25, 1 John 2:1
About the Future We believe in the blessed hope, and the personal, pre-millennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 1 Thess 4:13-18, 5:1-11, Matt.24, Rev.19:11-21
About the Holy Spirit We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ, are born again of the Spirit, and thereby become children of God, sealed by the Holy Spirit and preserved unto the day of redemption. John 3:5, 10:28, Rom.8:35-39
About Life after Death We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the conscious everlasting punishment of the lost. John 5:28, Rev. 20:4,5
About the Christian Life We believe that all the saved are called into a life of separation from all worldly and sinful practices, and are under obligation to all the world by life and word to the truth and proclamation of the Gospel. Rom.12:1, 2, 2 Cor. 5:14, Acts 1:8
Our BCC Vision "...to honor God by growing more fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ."
A Fully Devoted Follower of Jesus Christ...
...is a spiritually mature person who is consistently becoming more 'Christ-like' in values, beliefs and practices. As the apostle Paul put it, becoming “conformed to the image of Christ.” (Romans 8:29)
Our God-given responsibility is to grow fully devoted followers of Christ... and to grow more of them. We believe that the best way to fulfill this mission is through a balanced ministry approach that places equal weight on each Biblical aspect of the church.
Our Purpose Is Lived Out When We...
- demonstrate God's love - Service (Mercy and Service)
- share God's Son and extend - Outreach (Evangelism and Mission) God's kingdom
- experience God's family - Fellowship
- teach God’s Word - Equipping
- celebrate God's character - Worship
Our Process
... of helping people become fully devoted followers of Christ.
This is our mission at Browncroft and one we are committed to living out in our church. However following Jesus is a life-long journey, with different points of entry for people at different places in their walk with God. There is not a single program or a simple formula that works for everyone. What’s most important is movement. Whether new to the faith or a seasoned believer all of us need to go deeper in our walk with God.
To help better encourage this movement some of the leaders of our church have spent the last several months thinking about how spiritual growth happens here. What are the key values and the practical steps that will help each one of us become a more devoted follower? The result is a three-step process that we hope will help people--whatever their entry point—continue to grow. Three important words that we hope in time will inform and shape all the ministries of our church.
Whether new to the faith or new to the church we desire to create environments where people feel accepted and inspired to take the next step in their faith journey.

The heart of the church experience is involvement in meaningful relationships with others. We desire to help connect people into medium and small groups where spiritual formation and true community take place.

Ultimately following Jesus leads to making a difference in the lives of others. The new life God has given us in Christ is a life of opportunity. We desire to help people discover the joy and satisfaction of using their gifts to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.
Browncroft Community Church is an evangelical, non-denomination, congregational church.
