Our Mission
We exist to equip teens to: grow in their faith in Christ; encourage and train them to reach out to their friends; provide Christian fellowship and accountability; help them discover their spiritual gifts; and send them out to serve God and others.
Unity & theotherside
Unity (Sr. High) meets in Fellowship Hall and theotherside (Jr. High) meets in the Youth Room on Sunday evenings from 6-8 P.M. Worship, Biblical teaching on topics relevant to teens, small groups and "hanging out time" take place at Unity and theotherside. Small Groups meet after the worship and teaching time. Teens are placed in small groups based on their grade level. The rest of the evening is spent hanging out at 7-11 Cafe or playing basketball in the gym.
Quest (Sunday School)
Jr. High meets in the Youth Room and Sr. High meets in the Gym on Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M. We start off as a large group and then spend time in small group discussion. At Quest, teens grow deeper in their understanding of God and His Word.
Bible Study on Wednesday nights Jr. High and Sr. High groups meet separately at Browncroft from 7-8 P.M. for an in-depth study of Scripture.
Retreats provide a time for Jr. and Sr. High teens (separate retreats) to get away from their everyday environment and hear from God. This is also a time to build solid relationships with leaders and other teens.
Outreach events provide an opportunity for our teens to invite their friends to a fun and non-threatening "non-church" event.
Missions & Service Opportunities
For the past 20 years, Flower City Work Camp has been a week in April (Spring Break) when our students join other area teens to serve God by leading sidewalk clubs and repairing inner-city homes in Rochester. All of the students meet together at Browncroft to eat, sleep, fellowship, and worship. The Browncroft youth ministry also offers a summer mission experience for students, alternating annually between international and domestic trips.
