So where are we going today? What will we discover along the way?

How would you like a recipe for a great life or a formula for wealth and fame? Wouldn’t that be great? If we could just bottle it and sell it we could all be rich! We’d have people lining up to get it. We would have talk shows and universities inviting us to share our secrets! We could be rich, we could be famous!

But, you know what? The “recipe” or “formula” is not something we can bottle and sell, it’s really a series of simple things we do and an attitude and focus we adopt. First off, we need to know God’s teachings so well we will never forget them. Sorta, like my son with his nine subtractions. He knows them backwards, forwards, he knows the “trick”, he knows them cold. Even taking quizzes is very exciting! Next we need love & faithfulness – wrapped around us like a balaclava in the winter when we’re out here running with temps below 20. Then, we trust & acknowledge God – humble, not arrogant, remember? And lastly, we give back to God with all the great stuff He’s given us! Pretty simple, huh? No magic potion, fancy packaging or slick marketing. So what are we waiting for? Let’s do it today? Where do you want to start?
