How often do we stand in judgment? How often do we mock those who differ from ourselves?
It is easy for us to look at others and expect to see our reflection, and when that image is unfamiliar, to despise and reject it. Yet are we not all made in the image of God? Who can say that one’s skin color is better than another? Who can claim beauty above the rest?
Accepting one another, embracing one another for both our similarities and differences, loving one another – this is God’s greatest command. Yet we are quick to cast judgment – our judgment - and demand conformity to us. We are made in God’s image and it must be our desire to seek to love one another just as God loves us.
Your fellow traveler,
Ed
