In my Old Testament reading today, Ezekiel 46, I got thinking about A Lifestyle of Worship, a central truth in our church vision and the topic of this Sunday’s sermon.
In the millennial kingdom, so to speak (the 1000 year reign of Christ after his return, Revelation 20.4), there is a return to the sacrificial system (pointing back to the saving work Christ as it pointed forward in the Mosaic system) where the burnt offering is done ‘morning by morning’ every day of the year (see Leviticus 6.8-13 and Ezekiel 46.13-15).
This offering, mentioned first in the list of offerings in the OT, signifies complete dedication of life to God. First on the part of Jesus for us (Philippians 2.5-11) and now on our part as a daily act of worship back to God (Romans 12.1-2).
What does that mean for you and me today? It means an active commitment to doing good and to sharing what you have—including the gospel—with others around you (Hebrews 13.15-16). Every day of your life is to be an act of worship. It is here we find true joy and the purpose in life we all long for.
How have you worshipped God today?

Re: Rob: A Lifestyle of Worship
I start my worship every morning in the scriptures, even if its for just a few minutes, it gives me the thoughts I need to continue my worship throughout the day. I will offer my love to everyone around me, and I will serve them, as to serve the Lord. My eyes have been opened to worship the Lord everyday, in everything.

Re: Rob: A Lifestyle of Worship
I am encouraged weekly by yours and Blake's blogs as I am sure many others are. I appreciate all the scripture references (and links).

Re: Rob: A Lifestyle of Worship
My problem is finding something to share that will make a positive difference. I am giving and have always been a generous person, but there has to be more to it, I know there is. I feel I am stuck in this routine and there is no breaking free.
