Often our truest selves come out when we’re challenged. When we’re pressed to the wall, we dig deep to defend ourselves.

In the Apostle Paul’s second letter to the church in Corinth he answers his critics this way: my core motivation is Christ’s love for me.

It’s not different for anyone who follows Jesus today. There is no other agent for real change or motivator for inspired action. This is the fountainhead of the CORE and the place we need return every day.

It’s a love that changes everything. It changes the way we see ourselves, the way we see others, our perception of the world and the way we live in the world. The world is no longer seen as the place we go to form our identity, the place we go to get what we need, but the place we go to be who God has uniquely created us to be, the place we go to give.

Our greatest gift is the one we have been given by God, the message of reconciliation to the lost all around us. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us (2 Corinthians 5.20). God’s love is on a mission to reach others through each one of us. Wow.

Each day provides an opportunity to experience God’s love and to see the world the way he does. Start each day by inviting Him in.

Then ask Him, who are you seeking to reach through me today?

Re: Rob: A New Vision of Life

God used a difficult encounter with my neighbor this past week to humble me and touch me to my core. I blew it and God reconciled it with His perfect love. “Empowerment” was the word for the week in our ‘Made to Crave’ Women’s Group…God’s love empowered me to reach out through a small ‘forgiveness’ gift that started the humbling conversation towards living out my faith and dependence on God ‘to love your neighbor as yourself’. All is well…I pray a seed was planted.

Re: Rob: A New Vision of Life

I can relate to this...in fact it stopped me for a moment and i realized this is something I seek but have been unsuccessful! Core motivation, hmmm, I believe this is where my problems stem.
