The whole world knows next Sunday, February 5, is the Super Bowl. Even those who don't watch football will probably plan some part of their day around this event.This year we're planning to start the day with a bit of a celebration of own own. Church-style anyway. We are concluding our INVITATION series with a service where we are challenging you to bring along a friend. I will do my best job to deliver a clear presentation of the gospel and encourage people outside of a relationship with God to consider the offer God extends to all in Jesus.
Some of you may have that person in mind, you’ve been praying for them, and only need to make the ask. Others of us need to begin praying and asking God to reveal to us someone in our lives who He is drawing to himself.
I am hoping for a super-Sunday, that is a day when God shows up in unexpected ways in our worship and ministry. Even more important, however, than what happens in the services is what should be taking place outside of them--in our hearts and lives. That is a praying and sharing lifestyle with the many around each of us who are far from God.
I hope you will begin praying, and keep praying every day, as this day approaches.
