Service and the gospel message go hand in hand. Our message gives meaning to our service,  while our serving validates the message. The life-changing relationship that is ours in Jesus brings good to the community and gives glimpses of his coming kingdom.


Children and Youth

441 is an outreach effort in the Beechwood neighborhood of Rochester striving to “re-neighbor” a broken community through the power of the Gospel.





Opportunities: Saturday kids club, summer meals program, Bible study.





Youth for Christ

YFC focuses on bringing urban youth to a living faith in Jesus through relationships, life coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.





Opportunities: Basketball coach, mentor, tutor, clothing store worker, café worker.





Rochester Family Mission

Rochester Family Mission is called to help families in the southwest city neighborhoods of Rochester by meeting both spiritual and material need.





Opportunities: After-school tutoring, adult GED tutoring, food cupboard, handyman, office work, meal prep and more.





Pedal for Life



Working with three city recreation centers, this Browncroft team builds relationships with city kids through bike outings and social events to encourage fitness, bike awareness/safety, healthy eating, and fun.

Opportunities: Saturday bike rides and picnics throughout the months of July and August, and other occasional gatherings through the rest of the year.





Bethel Express

Bethel Express mentors urban children with biblical principles to allow them to be formed, conformed, and transformed into productive citizens.





Opportunities: Breakfast team volunteers, mentors.





Books and Bears

We aid the Rochester Police Department by providing new stuffed bears and new children’s books. These are distributed by police officers to children involved in incidences of domestic violence, abuse or other traumatic events.

ADULTS





Open Door Mission, Inc.

Open Door was founded in prayer to meet the spiritual and physical needs of “the last, the least, and the lost” of our community.

Opportunities: Worship leader, service projects, kitchen service and more.





Streets for Christ



Streets for Christ desires to reach the unreachable by seeking out those who are unable to assimilate into the system of shelters in Rochester.



Opportunities: Out on the streets, serve food and meet basic needs through donations, listening and guiding to resources.





The Father’s Heart

With our mobile soup kitchen, our mission is to share the love of Christ with as many people as possible to enhance the quality of life for all we witness to on the streets. Our goal is to be His hands and feet extended in love.



Opportunities: Share the Word of God, distribute food and clothing to those in need in Rochester





Refugees



Show God’s love for all people by helping recently arrived refugees to adjust to their new life in America. Many are fleeing disastrous conditions in their countries or have helped US efforts in the Middle East. Training and mentoring provided.



Opportunities: Work with families or provide classroom help at the Rochester International Academy





Good News Jail & Prison Ministry

Opportunities: Bible teacher, worship leader, prayer leader, church service volunteer, lesson grader.

This faith-based non-profit organization provides vital services to inner-city residents and families in Rochester.  The network includes health services, reproductive health counseling, the Arnett Block Association, and youth outreach.





Opportunities: Pregnancy counseling, medical, summer bike clinic.





CompassCare

CompassCare operates a professional medical office with staff dedicated to serving women facing unplanned pregnancies by transforming their fear into confidence.





Opportunities: Mentoring expectant mothers, helpline, prayer team, marketing, research & development, office tasks, IT support.





Flower City Outreach

This faith-based non-profit organization provides vital services to inner-city residents and families in Rochester.  The network includes health services, reproductive health counseling, the Arnett Block Association, and youth outreach.



Opportunities: Home repairs, sidewalk Bible clubs, sports camps. Next camp: spring break week, April 2018. Adult leaders needed by November 2017.
