A First Look at Sunday’s Baptism Testimonies

March 12, 2026
Carissa Gray

God is doing big things in our church this weekend! On Saturday we will gather for the Spiritual Formation Conference to explore the unique purposes we have been called to and how to live those out in daily practice. And this Sunday we will celebrate several individuals being baptized in our 9:00 and 10:30 services, including many kids and students! Since most of us will only be attending one of those services (or the Noon), we wanted to share here the testimonies of every person being baptized. Join us in praying for these lives and thanking God for all He has done through them so far.

Over the past two years of attending my small group in Browncroft Kids, I made the decision to accept Jesus as my Savior.  I’ve really enjoyed getting to know more about Jesus, and He is someone I want to follow. I’m getting baptized today because I love God and I want the world to know it.

I recently made the decision to accept Jesus as my Savior.  Following Jesus makes me happy and I really love to sing praises to Him.  I’m getting baptized today to share with my friends and family that I love Him.  Thank you so much to my small group leaders for loving me and teaching me.

I was not raised in a religious household but always knew who Jesus was. The Theology teachers at my Catholic school often spoke about one specific moment in their life when they felt Jesus. I thought I was the only one who didn’t feel it. About a year ago, I was invited to come to the Christmas Service here at Browncroft by my aunt. When I came to the service, I was emotional at the sound and sight of how many people loved Jesus. When I went home, I began to notice Jesus in everything — in other people, in nature, and areas where I never would have looked for Him before. Finally, I felt His presence. Committing to Jesus is an amazing feeling. I’m excited for this moment to serve as a constant reminder, even in hard times, of my commitment to myself and Jesus.

I just feel that I want to continue becoming the best version of myself I can for everyone around me, but especially for my daughter and husband. I have come this far in my faith which has not always been easy. I want to grow deeper in my relationship with Jesus and allow Him to shape every part of my life. I am ready to take this next step to grow even more and lead others to Jesus as well. I want to share my testimony so others know they are not alone and that God’s grace is transformative.

I love Jesus so much and I have decided to follow him.  He died for my sins, he helps me when I need Him, and He helps me know when I should help others.  I want to thank my CC for helping me know more about Jesus and helping me with my decision to get baptized. I want everyone to know how much Jesus loves them and that He is my Lord and Savior.

Growing up dedicated to Jesus was what made my childhood incredibly safe and happy. Being led astray and losing touch with God in adulthood made me feel the worst I have ever felt, lost and insecure. Finding my way back to God with the support of my family and friends has made my faith stronger than it ever was before. Reconnecting with my Lord and Savior has given life a new vibrancy and security. I am eternally grateful to be able to follow God for the rest of my life.

When I was young, my sisters and I were placed in an orphanage in Ukraine. I felt alone and confused, and I kept asking why this happened. When the war started in Ukraine in 2022, our orphanage sent us to Poland. My sisters and I were adopted by a new family. Through them, I learned about Jesus, started going to church, and began reading the Bible. Now I understand that even when I didn’t see it, God had a plan for me. I am very grateful that God brought me here and gave me a new life. Even through the pain, He was guiding me the whole time. One verse that reminds me of this is from the Book of Isaiah, verse 41:10 — that God is always with me, strengthens me, and holds me up.

It means a lot to me to be getting baptized with my sister today. Jesus saved me and gave me a family and now I want to show the world that I follow him.

Reflections from Our Youth on Mission

This past week, 16 students and eight leaders from Browncroft traveled to El Salvador on a mission to live out the hope and joy of Christ through practical service. We asked a few students to share how they saw God at work during their time there and how they had the opportunity to join in what He was doing.
