I’m Newer to Browncroft, Too

I know what it’s like to be new at Browncroft. It was only a little over two years ago that I started attending and working here… Do you want to hear the story? Happy to share it!

Nick D’Angelo reached out to me on a dating app in late 2020. We hit it off, and after a year of dating, we got engaged. I prepared to leave all that I had in Buffalo, NY to start my life with him in Rochester. Saying goodbye to my home church was incredibly sad. Yet a comfort I had was knowing Browncroft was the church Nick had been attending since he was four years old. Throughout our dating relationship, he had introduced me to 22 Browncrofters. Yes, 22 people exactly. He’s a numbers guy so he counted. That really helped me feel at home at Browncroft right away.

I’m guessing your story is nothing like mine. You probably don’t have a “Nick” who introduced you to 22 people, putting your heart and mind at ease with the assurance that you’d see some friendly faces on Sundays. Well, guess what! I would love to be that person for you. I would love to introduce you to some wonderful people who recently started attending, just like you, and help you build strong relationships with them.

I would love to introduce you to some wonderful people who recently started attending, just like you, and help you build strong relationships with them.

Would you join us for New Guest Connect on Sunday, February 25th? This one-hour gathering is a chance for newer guests and staff to join together and get to know each other. We’ll mingle over some good food and ice-breaker questions. I and some other staff will then share about the ministries of the church, ways you can get involved, and how we can seek and live life for Jesus together. We’ll wrap up by answering any questions you may have.

I’ve been in my Next Steps Director role for over a year now, and I’ve seen wonderful fruit come from New Guest Connect. I’ve seen people exchanging phone numbers, staff helping new guests, people hitting it off so well that they want to be in the same small group, and the beginning of friendships that are still continuing today. This is the beauty of connection, and I want you to be a part of it. I hope you’ll consider joining us so we can help you find your people!

We’d love to know if you’re coming, so please click the button below to sign up! Or, if you know someone who’s new to the church, pass this along to them. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for our new guests here at Browncroft!
