“Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.” (Isaiah 46:9)

Often, when we think of spiritual practices, we think of things like prayer, silence, Bible reading, worship, and journaling. All of those are good, but I believe that remembering is also a vital spiritual practice for the revival of our souls. We see this all throughout the Scriptures. When we intentionally remember and praise God for what He has done in the past, our faith is strengthened for the future. As a result, we dare to trust God for more.

God has done exceedingly, abundantly beyond all we could ask or think through Browncroft. Take a moment to remember and praise God. As a church, we’ve enjoyed a history of biblically based preaching, lives being changed, dynamic kids and youth ministry, and a blockbuster missions program. God has moved in extraordinary ways in the past and we can praise Him in advance for how He will move in the future.

“I will remember the deeds of the LORD”

Psalm 77:11

Take a moment to praise God for what He has done:

  • The children who have come to Christ through children’s ministry.
  • The teens who have been discipled and have gone on to become passionate followers of Jesus as adults.
  • The history of rich celebrative worship which has allowed thousands to experience the presence of God.
  • The amazing missions program and the Wolof initiative.
  • The rich heritage of biblically based preaching.

Lord Jesus, we worship You for all You have done through the years. While our hearts are incredibly grateful, we ask You for more. We boldly ask for more of Your presence and power to fill us as a church family.
