Midlife Discipleship

Finding life's purpose

What is midlife discipleship?

The purpose of this ministry is for people in the midlife demographic to learn about and process issues that often arise in this stage of life. Children leave home and enter the adult world. Elderly parents require care. Retirement planning becomes more urgent.

Browncroft hopes to provide a safe community in which these issues can be addressed. Everyone’s circumstances are different, but there are common themes whereby we can learn from each other. This group is for both men and women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, whether you are single, married, separated, divorced, or widowed.

We will meet together in person on the third Saturday morning of every month at 9am. There will be a brief teaching on a specific topic followed by discussion. Everyone will be given freedom to participate, or just listen and absorb. This is a great opportunity to make friends in the same season of life as you!

Our next gathering will be on Saturday, May 18 in the Browncroft Cafe. This month’s topic will be Cultivating Friendships. We’ll discuss the importance of maintaining friendships, making new friends, reconnecting with friends from the past, and letting go of unhealthy friendships.
