Senior Connections (65+)

What is senior connections?

Senior adults are an important and valued at part of our congregation. We know many seniors long for community with each other and with the entire church body as we all seek to truly experience the benefits of being the multigenerational body of Christ.

Senior Connections offers an opportunity for senior adults (ages 65+) both to enjoy each other’s company and to become aware of the many facets and ministries of the church. The monthly gatherings will consist of singing hymns, a brief devotional, prayer updates, Browncroft news, a ministry report from a staff member, and a featured presentation. Attendees are welcome to remain for informal conversation afterwards.

To receive a monthly invitation (and to indicate if you need transportation assistance) please provide your name, mailing address, and email address (if available). You do not need to register to the individual gatherings, including those when lunch is provided.

Our next gathering will be on Friday, February 10, beginning with lunch at 12 noon. Our topic will be Senior Living Options and we’ll learn more about various senior living communities, the services offered at different levels of care, how to do your research, and important questions to ask while touring in person or virtually. There are an array of senior housing options and care services including independent living, assisted living, adult day care, memory care, nursing home care, etc. You may be considering a change of living environment for yourself or helping a loved one decide on their next move. We hope you will leave this session feeling more informed as you navigate through the process and more confident that there are resources available in our community to help guide you along the way.
