Senior Connections (65+)

Connecting to God, the Community, and Each Other.

What is Senior Connections?

Senior adults are an important and valued part of our congregation. We know many seniors long for community with each other and with the entire church body, as we all seek to truly experience the benefits of being the multigenerational body of Christ.

Senior Connections offers a monthly opportunity for senior adults to both enjoy each other’s company and hear from a guest speaker about a topic that is engaging, informative, and of interest to those ages 65 and higher. Attendance ranges from 30 to 50 people. We have lunch together every other month as part of the program, and all gatherings include a devotional. Attendees are welcome to remain afterwards for informal conversation.

To receive a monthly invitation, please provide your name, mailing address, and email address (if available). You do not need to register for the individual gatherings, including those when lunch is provided.

Our next time together will be on Friday, February 14th, starting with lunch at 12 noon in the Browncroft Cafe. Our featured presenter is from Browncroft and will be sharing about his hobby of scuba diving, something very few, if any, of us have ever experienced. He’ll show us the many pieces of equipment involved as well as photos from his expeditions exploring tropical reefs, freshwaters, and shipwrecks. We’ll also learn about the training and safety procedures required to take part in this activity. Scuba diving combines adventure, skill, and respect for the underwater world, making it a fascinating exposure of this component of God’s wonderful creation!
