No matter how long you’ve been a Christian or where you are on your faith journey, all of us have one thing in common: we all have the same starting point. Each believer exists entirely on the basis of salvation being made available to them through the sacrifice Jesus made millennia ago. Easter is a love story between a Creator and His creation, where the Creator chose sacrifice in pursuit of reconciliation to the creation He loves. This love story is something we live out every day, but each year we dedicate a particular calendar week to draw purposeful attention, and we call it Holy Week.
As a church, we want to invite you into this moment of both reflection and celebration together as a local body of believers. On Good Friday (April 3rd) we will gather together for one service at 7:00pm to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus and partake in Communion. This will be an interactive, in-person time of prayer, singing, and scripture reading. Doors open at 6:30, and we encourage you and your family to sit and experience the hour together. Childcare will be available for small children.
Jesus invites us into a relationship with Him, and we then invite others into this life-changing love story.
Then, on April 5th, we want to invite you back for the celebration of Easter Sunday where we will dedicate our services to the second act of this love story that has changed many of our own personal stories. It’s our prayer that it will continue changing many more to come. We will gather at our normal service times: 9:00am, 10:30am, and 12:00pm. As usual, Kids programming will be in session during the 9:00 and 10:30. If you don’t have children and want to help us make room for new guests and visitors, a great way to do that is by attending the Noon.
One of the most important things about Holy Week is that it’s not meant to be experienced alone. Invitation is part of the church’s DNA. Jesus invites us into a relationship with Him, and we then invite others into this life-changing love story. The Church body exists to invite others into a life fully committed to Jesus – so be thinking about who you might like to invite this year. No matter where you are in your story, there is a seat for you.
