We Were Made for This: A Call for Your Partnership

There’s a reason Send Me Mission Month feels different at Browncroft. It’s not a programmatic add-on or a calendar obligation, it’s a homecoming. Caring for those who carry the Good News to the ends of the earth has been part of who we are for as long as we’ve been a church, and in an era when many congregations have stepped back from robust mission engagement, it remains one of the most defining and distinctive threads of our life together.

This May, we’re gathering around a simple but profound framework: Blessed, Broken, and Given – we are embodied disciples of Christ shaped by the Great Commission. Throughout the month, you’ll have real opportunities to meet, hear from, and pray alongside the men and women who have given their vocational lives to spreading the Gospel among those who have not yet heard or called upon the name of our Lord (Romans 10:13–14). If you’ve never experienced the richness of connecting with a mission partner face to face, this is your month.

A Moment of Honest Need

We want to be transparent with you about something. Seven months into our fiscal year, donations to our Missions Fund stand at $237,089 — 48% of our $500,000 annual goal, against a target of 58% at this point in the year. We are nearly 3/4 of the way through our year and about $50k behind our annual budget. Would you pray with us that we would grow in monthly supporters? May God raise up financial partners who help us meet our commitments and even exceed them to send and support Browncrofters seeking to follow God’s call both locally and abroad!  That gap is real, and it directly affects the support we’re able to provide to the ministry partners who depend on us.

We tell you this not to create anxiety, but because we believe as the church, you are partners in this work. Truly, these aren’t just line items in a budget, they are families, church planters, relief workers, rescuers, and teachers living on the front lines of the Kingdom.

If you feel moved to help close that gap, you can designate a gift to the Missions Fund at any time — of course during Mission Month, but also at any time of the year. Many in our congregation give monthly, and every contribution sustains relationships that span decades and continents. You can give HERE.

Come and See

The Great Commission was never meant to be spectated. This month, we ask you to lean in. Come to the Send Me Conference on May 16. Ask questions. Listen to the stories. Pray for the people. And if God stirs something in you – generosity, intercession, or even a sense of calling — follow that.

We are a sending church. We always have been. Let’s live like it! See you this Sunday.

Reflections from Our Youth on Mission

This past week, 16 students and eight leaders from Browncroft traveled to El Salvador on a mission to live out the hope and joy of Christ through practical service. We asked a few students to share how they saw God at work during their time there and how they had the opportunity to join in what He was doing.
