On Sunday, I had the opportunity to recognize some amazing Browncroft Kids and Students leaders. Then I put out a call to the congregation for our Kids Summer Serve opportunity in July and August. You may have been wondering, “Who are they really looking for to sign-up?”

The simple answer to this question is….YOU!

Seriously! If you love Jesus and are willing to be used by Him, you are qualified! (OK, you also need to be at least 16 and able to pass a background check, but that’s it!)

I know you may be thinking, “Not me. I don’t have kids.”

Or… “I’m not a teacher. I can’t lead a class full of children.”

Or… “I’ve already raised my children, I’m done.”

But believe me, God can use you in a big way this summer. It could be your welcoming smile when the kids come through the door, or perhaps the kind words so appreciated by a parent at the end of a Sunday morning service. Maybe it’s just the fact that you are making it possible for our dedicated leaders who serve faithfully every weekend from September – June to have a well-deserved period of rest and rejuvenation. Whatever it is, God will use your service as a blessing.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Galatians 6:10

As part of our centennial celebration last month, many Browncrofters noted in their “All In” next steps cards that God pressed on their heart the need to “find a volunteer opportunity at Browncroft”. If that is you — or even if you’ve just been curious if you could help our kids ministry somehow — Kids Summer Serve is a great opportunity to dip your toes in the pool before deciding whether or not you want to dive in.

So please, no matter what stage of life you are in, consider clicking the button below to sign up for Kids Summer Serve one Sunday (or more, if you like) in July or August. It’s a great opportunity to bless our Browncroft families and a true act of worship.
