Looking for a way to serve? Our Facilites Director, Brad Dayton, is looking to create a team of on-call volunteers to help with big and small projects around our campus as needs arise. Read his message below and consider if this is something you’d like to be a part of. We want to keep our facility and property in good shape for the comfort of our growing community and would love your help!

–Carissa Gray, Communications Coordinator

Browncroft Community Church thrives on the work of its many gifted and talented volunteers.  As Director of Facilities, I have seen both small and large groups come together to accomplish great things in short amounts of time… the clearing of the pond on our property; the demolition and remodeling of several rooms, offices, and the lobby; and the Grove cleanup, to name a few. I am looking ahead to upcoming projects and realizing I need a pool of volunteers who are interested in Facilities and Grounds related work!

My hope is to put together a list of willing volunteers to receive work requests of this nature as they come up.  This group would include people interested in projects like demolition and/or remodeling; hanging new lights; trimming trees; spreading mulch and minor landscaping; painting; masonry and concrete work; cleaning, moving, and fixing things; and a variety of other “handyman” and “helper” type tasks. These jobs wouldn’t usually call for experts or professionals — we have vendors (some within the congregation) for projects needing high skills.

Sometimes these work requests will be for a few helpers, and other times for a larger team.  I want to able to reach out to a large group of over 100 so that the needs will always be met and no one will feel obligated to respond every time we have a need.

If you are interested in this type of volunteering, please add your name to the list by clicking the button below. Thank you!

What’s Coming Up: A Word from Pastor Rob

In one week, I begin my sabbatical. I’m grateful for the opportunity to spend extended time hearing from God as well as mentors, friends, and mission partners. While I’m gone I will be praying daily for God’s blessing on our church and the many who are serving and leading its ministries. Here’s a short update on what’s coming.
