Introducing Our Newest Ministry

Have you ever thought to yourself…

“Why, in such a big church, do I feel so alone? Everyone else around my age seems to have their act together.”

“I wish I had more friends close to my age. Or at least one special friend I could confide in.”

“I feel stuck. I’m scared about the future and unsure of what’s next for me.”

If you find yourself asking these types of questions, I want to invite you to be a part of our newest Browncroft ministry within Congregational Care, Midlife Discipleship! This initiative is being introduced to help anyone in their 40s, 50s, and 60s find fellowship and support as they navigate the issues that often arise in the middle season of life. These are the years when children leave home and enter the adult world. Elderly parents require care. Retirement planning becomes more urgent. While these things can feel overwhelming, our hope is to provide a safe community in which your concerns can be acknowledged and processed. You do not have to walk through these challenges alone.

While no two people’s circumstances are identical, there are common themes that many in this demographic can resonate with. By interacting with people in your same stage of life, you can learn from one another and discover alternative solutions to any difficulties you may be facing. On the flip side, if you feel called to share your experiences with others who are walking through some of the same situations you’ve dealt with, this is a great opportunity for you to do that. Our prayer is that this will be a space where people can help each other cope and ultimately thrive amidst the unique challenges and changes that come with this season of life.

This group is for both men and women, whether you are single, married, separated, divorced, or widowed. We will meet together in person on the third Saturday morning of every month from 9 – 10:30am. There will be a brief teaching on a specific topic followed by discussion. Everyone will be given freedom to participate, or just listen and absorb.

We’re kicking off this ministry with a breakfast gathering on Saturday, April 20th. To register for this first event, and to subscribe to be informed of the monthly meetings, click the button below. I hope you will consider joining this special community!

A Praying Church

As part of our ongoing effort to be a praying church, Browncroft has a weekly Prayer Sheet distributed to our congregation via email. If you would like to commit to praying over the people in our church, you can sign up to receive it! My hope for Browncroft is that we continue to be a praying community– humbly approaching the Lord on behalf of one another, especially during challenging times.
