Who Will You Invite To Christmas This Year?

In a study on church attendance during Christmas, Lifeway Research found that roughly 6 out of every 10 Americans typically attend church at Christmastime. But among those who signaled they don’t, a majority suggested they would likely check out a service if someone they knew invited them.

At Browncroft we celebrate a spiritual habit of Share Your Faith. Now we might feel overwhelmed thinking about what questions a neighbor, coworker, friend, family member, or acquaintance might ask about Christianity. But a starting point of this habit is really just inviting.

In today’s passage (Matthew 5:13-16) Jesus teaches His followers about their influence on the world. Not only is He the light, but He calls us to reflect His light in a dark world. We extend to others the grace Jesus gives us. And the “good deeds” in verse 16 reflect the generosity of God’s goodness to us. In this Christmas season, we recognize our identity as a child of God and actively invite others to experience the same.

God has placed people in your life to share the Good News of the Gospel. And Christmas is a strategic time when people are open to that Gospel.

Now is a time to start thinking about how you can invite others to Browncroft this Christmas. Click the button below to find out about our services and more.

I would challenge each of you to post on social media about what service you will attend during the Christmas season. By the way, our December 23rd service is a great invite service. It’s the day before Christmas Eve when people may have openings in busy holiday schedules.

So who will you invite to Browncroft this Christmas?

PRAYER

Lord, open my eyes to see who You want me to share my faith with this season. Give me the opportunity to invite them to meet You.

PRACTICE

Share on social media which Browncroft Christmas Eve service you will go to. Invite someone who does not usually attend church to come with you!
